Chandigarh is 117 km away, Manali is 260 kilometers and Delhi is 343 kilometers away. If you are traveling from Delhi, you can take the air-conditioned luxury bus from ISBT Kashmiri Gate throughout the night. Buses go in the night or later in the night – from time to time the weather can vary, you can see them online before making reservations.

Kalka is the nearest major railway station, which is connected to Chandigarh and Delhi by regular trains. You can take Kalka Centenary, which runs from New Delhi Railway Station to Kalka Railway Station via Chandigarh.
There is a small railway station in Shimla which is just 1 kilometer away from the city center and is connected to Kalka by a narrow gauge track. The famous toy train of Shimla goes between Kalka and Shimla, crossing 96 kilometers of 100+ tunnels in approximately 7 hours.
